Industrial farming brings many environmental risks. Although our crucial topic in the case of Ukrainian agriculture is poultry, we focused also on problems caused by pig farms – in this case belonging to the ‘Danosha’ company in Ivano-Frankivsk region. After several complaints of members of local community on the operations connected to this farming, our colleagues from Ecoaction went on a 4-days field trip to find out details about the situation. During the visit, which took place during August 13-17, members of Ecoaction met deputies of the lead investors and visited the enterprises and environmental hot-spots.
