In March, the Dust and Gas Cleaning 2020 forum took place in Kyiv, which focused on protection from industrial air pollution. The event’s goal was to promote gas purification technologies and gas purification equipment, as well as to exchange the practical experience in the modernization of gas purification, dust collection, etc. The forum was a meeting place of various participants, including industry representatives, the authorities, scientists and experts and environmental activists.
Maksym Soroka, the scientific and technical expert of the Clear Air for Ukraine project, had a presentation about the new generation air monitoring stations Oxygen. He presented its technical features and functions, and he also talked about the building of the all-Ukrainian air monitoring network, which allows the public continuous access to air pollution data online.
The event was organized with the support of the project “Best Available Technologies and Management Methods (BAT) for Ukraine”, which is carried out by GIZ by order of the German Government as part of the international project “Energy Efficiency and Climate Projects”.
