Agriculture and food processing – especially extensive livestock production – represent relatively serious source of pollution of the environment. We´ve decided to illustrate some of the environmental impacts of intensive agriculture and livestock production in an example of Dnipropetrovsk region. We´ve gathered data about discharged emissions from the most significant agricultural polluters in the region and compared them in an infographics, which shows, that intensive poultry and pigs breeding and production create significant pollution of the environment, especially when speaking about greenhouse gases and nitrates discharge.
